Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder, was born on Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder chose her name after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother are both authors and editors. Ryder's mother and father also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria and half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. In the year Ryder was seven, her family relocated to Mendocino County California. The town didn't even have electricity. Television books were the only way for Ryder to pass the time. Eventually, she became an avid reader. When she turned twelve, Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas was let go in 1986. Ryder, who was only 15, landed a role as a leading actor. Ryder was bullied throughout high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor her behaviour could be reduced. However, it didn't happen. It didn't stop her from making plans for her future. Her breakthrough was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful performances in several movies. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
