April Ross

April Ross is one of just a handful of female beach volleyball athletes who have won medals in more than one Olympics. Alix klineman, who is playing for the first time at Tokyo's Olympic Games and will attempt to win her third medal. Ross's dream is to earn her first Olympic gold medal. At 39, this could be her last opportunity to do so. Still confident nevertheless. Ross on NBC Boston, said that when the team performs very well, or even at all, they can earn a gold. That's why I'm taking some luck too. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a her sister. While at Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of sports. She was a basketball player and also ran track, in addition to her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. However, she was a standout at this level. In her own biography in high school, she was a volleyball player as an outside hitter (middle blocker) as well as a setter (outside blocker). Her achievements were rewarded by her being named 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. The skills she showed in volleyball also won her an Orange County Athlete of the Years trophy in the year 2000. Ross and Klineman have been continuing to play from the year 2017. The reality is that Ross was an important player on the beach volleyball circuit before the pairing. It's true that she has had the chance to win numerous tournaments, including one with a legendary volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until 2013. Together, Kessy Ross, she was a major force in the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009. The duo would go through to take home a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the team that could take home the gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate as Maytreanor resigned. They went on to compete for the bronze beach volleyball medal at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross was a college athlete for USC Trojans before starting her professional career. She was a player in high school, and even before hitting the beach as a professional. It was a successful run for Ross at the college level. She was a All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 2000 as a young freshman. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans reach their first Final Four. After her sophomore year, she experienced a terrible personal loss and still earned the distinction of being an All-American. Through her last two years within the team, she guided the Trojans up to the summit netting consecutive national championships. As an individual, she established herself as an all-time great by winning the 2003-2004 Honda Sports Award as the most outstanding female college volleyball player. Ross had been an international studies student at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the privilege of watching Ross' daughter blossom into a beach volleyball superstar. Ross's mother died of cancer of the breast when she was a sophomore in USC. She still holds her mother dear. Margie continues to be a source of inspiration, both off and on of the beach.
